Annie P.

Annie, originally from Chicagoland, studied the art of movement at the University of North Texas and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance. She moved to Atlanta, GA as a performer and teacher and found a new home at the Atlanta School of Massage. It was at this time she began to engage in a deep appreciation for the connection between massage and movement. Her study of hands-on bodywork and the deciphering of common movement patterns proved to be the foundation for her practice.

After training dancers and movement performers for nearly 12 years and practicing massage for the better part of it, Annie dove head first into a mentorship program for Integral Transformative Bodywork to enhance personal and professional strengths and skills. Excelling in Raw Communication, Myofascial Release, and Mondo Zen meditation, Annie was initiated into the ITB ranks in April 2016 and continues to use what she’s learned in every facet of her life.

Currently living in Ames, Iowa, Annie teaches college age students in the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps as well as other performing groups around the country. She continues to grow a private practice with specific focus on myofascial, neuromuscular, and sports rehab techniques.

Body Wisdom students love Annie’s up-beat personality and solid expertise. She teaches and co-teaches a wide variety of subjects and is frequently referred to as a favorite instructor.

She likes to think of her students in Color Guard and elsewhere as her own kids-knowing she can make a difference in the world, one strong human at a time!

Annie and her husband share a professional passion for music, she especially loves live jazz. They enjoy gourmet food, and love to explore the world with their many travels in- and outside of the US, as much as parenthood still allows for it.
