Almut Hatfield: Co-Owner/Director of Administration
Almut serves as one of the
directors of the Body Wisdom Massage
Therapy School and is a trainer in the Somatic Therapies Program
at the Body Wisdom Institute. She was born and raised in
Germany, where she had a successful business career parallel to
pursuing extensive training in healing modalities such as
transpersonal and depth psychology, kinesthetic oriented processing
skills, deep emotional release work, aroma therapy, bodywork and
coaching techniques which led her to opening her own healing practice
in Berlin. After coming to the United States, she broadened her
capabilities with studies in Cell-Release Therapy™, Somatic
Rebalancing™, Imagery and Dialogue, Breathwork, various massage
techniques and aquatic bodywork. Her life experience through multiple
personal challenges, many years of international travels, a background
as an artist and her big thirst for ever expanding awareness add to
Almut's deep understanding and compassion in her work with clients and
students.
Rhett Hatfield: Director of Education, Co-owner
Rhett Hatfield serves as Director of Education for the Body Wisdom Massage School in addition to being the director of the Somatic Therapies program at the Body Wisdom Institute. Rhett brings a 25 year background in massage, bodywork and eastern and western body-centered techniques to his work as practitioner, instructor and workshop leader. As Director of Education he works relentlessly to continually upgrade Body Wisdom's programs to maintain its position at the leading edge of massage and bodywork education.
Rhett has spent sever months out of every year for the past few years traveling extensively in Asia and South East Asia to pursue his passion for researching and documenting indigenous bodywork therapies. Based on his research he lives to create Asian spa rituals, which are at the forefront of today's hottest spa trends and authentic Asian bodywork curriculums for his spa-consulting clients and the Body Wisdom School. He is an internationally recognized Spa Consultant and Trainer who has worked with such 5 star hotels such as Ritz Carlton, Hyatt Regency, Radisson, AYANA and Shangri-La Nepal. Rhett currently works as an active member on the Asia Pacific Spa and Wellness Council Task Force on Indigenous Therapies and serves as an advisor on traditional therapies to Spa Asia Magazine.
Originally from Miami, Florida, Rhett lives sailing, canoeing, kayaking, traveling the world and photography. He feels most at home when he is canoe camping in the Boundary Waters with his wife Ali or traveling and spending time in the small villages of the world learning healing techniques from the village elders. Rhett has four beautiful children (all girls) and seven lovely grandchildren who are the light of his life.
Tasha Almazan
Tasha Almazan had five years prior experience as a recruiter for a top employment agency before joining the Body Wisdom staff part time. Soon after, Tasha realized it would be beneficial to take a course or two in order to better understand the needs of prospective students and the many Body Wisdom programs. By the end of her first night in class, she was hooked on massage an enrolled in a Body Wisdom 1000 hour program.
Now in her position as our full time Administrator of Student Affairs, she continues with recruitment and enrollment, along with our financial and student services. Tasha calls on her past experience as a Body Wisdom student and graduate to help guide prospective students through the many career options and choices during their one-on-one meetings with her. She completely lights up when she is able to help steer someone along the road to realizing their dreams for a successful career in the field of massage. Chances are if you have a question, Tasha is the person to seek out!
Outside of Body Wisdom, Tasha has a successful private massage practice, where she specializes in Barefoot Bars Deep Tissueâ„¢, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and spa rituals. In her spare time, Tasha enjoys working out, biking, cooking, and receiving massage, of course!
Holly Limberg
Holly Limberg serves as Administrative Assistant and handles the student schedules and appointments for the clinic as well as various other administrative duties. Holly is originally from northern Iowa and moved back to Iowa after attending college at the University of Findlay in Ohio. She joined Body Wisdom after running a horse farm for several years and being lead receptionist at a local veterinary clinic. In her free time Holly works with a local Great Dane Rescue as a volunteer and foster home; she lives with her husband Scott, their cat and 3 dogs. Her Golden Retriever/Lab mix Bristol also comes to school with her daily and helps out delivering papers and his own special pet therapy. |
