Therapeutic Massage
Level 3
Therapeutic Massage Level 3 presents an
advanced massage therapy sequence taught solely in the side-lying
position that gives you new tools to address your c lient's most common
complaints.
The side-lying position is ideal
for the neck/shoulder and hip/low back regions, for treating pregnant
clients and for anyone who doesn't enjoy face cradles.
Therapeutic 3 continues to refine
many of the techniques taught in Therapeutic Massage 2 including
deep tissue, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial, range of motion, and advanced stretching routines for the side lying position.
Palpation, evaluation and
assessment skills are taken to the next level and all of the deep
tissue sequences from Therapeutic Massage 2 are adapted to the side
lying position including specific work to release restrictions in
neck, shoulders, lower back and hips.

Highlights
of the course include:
Complete
Side Lying Massage Sequence:
You will learn a comprehensive massage sequence covering all parts of
the body that fully integrates all the modalities learned in the
first two therapeutic massage courses plus additional techniques
specific to the side lying position.
Side Lying
Neck and Shoulders:
A major highlight of this training is the advanced neck and shoulder
sequence. The side lying position offers unparalleled access to
both neck and shoulders for the application of myofacial release, deep
tissue, range of motion and neuromuscular techniques. This side
lying neck and shoulder sequence will most likely become your go-to
option for addressing neck and shoulder problems and complaints.
Lower Back and
Hips:
The side lying position often offers the best positioning for
addressing complaints of lower back pain especially when there is hip
pain involved. You will learn to adapt the advanced lower back
sequence from Therapeutic 2 to the side lying position and will
integrate new sequences for addressing pain and restriction in the
internal and external rotators of the hips.
Integration:
Near the end of the training, students will have the opportunity to
fully integrate all the techniques learned in the Therapeutic Massage
Series Levels 1 through 3 into custom designed sessions.
Postural assessment,
evaluation, taking a Heath History, SOAP Notes, developing a treatment plan and choosing
the best techniques and modalities will be the steps you will follow
to meet the needs of your fellow "student" clients.
The purpose of
our Advanced Therapeutic Courses (Therapeutic 2 and 3) is to
expand the range of treatment options for each part of the body, integrate deeper work into
the Therapeutic 1 sequence and to serve as a bridge to the advanced work in our Deep Tissue 1 and 2
courses.
A comprehensive manual
covering all the course material complete with photographs of
techniques is included.
