Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer Financial Force (Certinia) for multiple entities, ensuring real-time and accurate posting of financial transactions.
- Efficiently handle Accounts Payable processes across various countries, including vendor management and timely payments.
- Review employee expenses to ensure accurate entries, particularly regarding VAT and GST amounts for UK, AU, and Canada employees on a weekly basis.
- Analyze and reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and reviewing account information, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
- Provide timely and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information to support decision-making.
- Perform month-end close tasks, including bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries, asset and depreciation tracking, AP invoice entry, intercompany revenue and cost entries, payroll adjustments, and departmental revenue and cost tracking.
- Review and post expenses, transfers, and deposits for multiple banks and credit cards in the UK, AU, and Canada on a daily basis.
- Update cash flow reports on a daily or weekly basis as needed for the UK, AU, and Canada entities to assist in financial planning.
- Engage in regular communication with external accountants and auditors, providing requested documents, answering queries, and generating reports for regulatory and tax reporting purposes.
- Review and process payroll for UK, AU, and Canada, making necessary adjustments and journal entries.
- Manage the addition of new hires to payroll and the removal of terminated employees.
- Monitor staffing emails and update project teams in Salesforce (PSA), ensuring accurate rates for invoicing.
- Perform other back-office duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Required
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting.
- 3+ years of experience in an accounting-related role.
- 2+ years of payroll experience, preferably with international operations.
- 2+ years of experience with Salesforce/Financial Force (Certinia).
- 2+ years of experience in international accounting, especially for the UK, Canada, and Australia.
- Proven experience in managing intercompany operations and financial transactions.
- Familiarity with UK VAT and Canada/AU GST returns and filings is a plus.
- Experience with time and expense recording platforms.
- Working knowledge of financial accounting and GAAP concepts.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively and demonstrate a sense of urgency.
- Experience building and fostering relationships with a remote workforce.
- Self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and problem-solve.
