This position is responsible for assisting with the preparation and maintenance of financial records for the company. This role involves performing a variety of accounting tasks, including posting journal entries, updating financial statements, and reconciling accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a basic understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
• Update accounts receivable and issue invoices.
• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
• Update financial data in databases to ensure that information is accurate and immediately available when needed.
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.
• Assist with reviewing expenses, payroll records, and other financial documents.
• Participate in quarterly and annual audits.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies, regulations, and laws.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
