Job Description

Are you a proactive, organized, and goal-oriented Scrum Master looking to make an impact at a dynamic, small business? RocketSource seeks a skilled Scrum Master to join our team and drive success in our development, UX/UI, Data-as-a-Service (DaaS), and strategic consulting initiatives.

As our Scrum Master, you will:

• Lead Agile Processes : Facilitate Agile ceremonies, manage sprints, and ensure seamless team collaboration for development and UX/UI teams.
• Develop Digital Experiences : Collaborate closely with stakeholders to deliver best-in-class digital experiences that enhance client engagement and satisfaction.
• Drive Workflow for DaaS : Oversee the flow of work on our data services side, ensuring the smooth delivery of data-driven insights and analytics for our clients.
• Ensure Accountability & Efficiency : Set clear goals, hold teammates accountable, and promote a productive work environment to meet project milestones effectively.
• Forecast & Communicate Effectively : Leverage your forecasting skills to anticipate project needs, communicate progress, and maintain thorough documentation throughout the development process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Agile Ceremonies : Conduct daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for development and UX/UI teams to ensure clear communication and alignment.
• Manage Backlog and Prioritize Tasks : Work closely with product owners to refine and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring tasks align with business goals and timelines.
• Monitor Sprint Progress and Resolve Blockers : Track sprint progress, identify and address any roadblocks, and support team members in overcoming obstacles to maintain workflow momentum.
• Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration : Act as a bridge between development, UX/UI, and data teams, fostering collaboration to create unified digital experiences.
• Optimize the DaaS Workflow : Develop a streamlined workflow for the Data-as-a-Service side of the business, tracking data requests, managing deliverables, and ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
• Forecast and Plan : Use forecasting skills to anticipate project needs, assess risks, and work with teams to develop strategies for meeting deadlines and addressing bottlenecks.
• Maintain Detailed Documentation : Ensure comprehensive documentation is maintained for Agile processes, project timelines, sprint deliverables, and retrospective insights.
• Coach and Support Teams in Agile Principles : Provide guidance and training on Agile best practices, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and self-organization.
• Conduct Stakeholder Updates : Regularly communicate with stakeholders, providing progress updates, discussing project challenges, and aligning on priorities and goals.
• Analyze and Report on Agile Metrics : Gather and analyze sprint metrics (e.g., velocity, burn-down charts) to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance productivity.

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Proven experience in managing development, UX/UI, and data workflows.
• Proactive in holding team members accountable for achieving goals.
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and best practices.
• Ability to analyze project metrics and use them to drive process improvements.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating cross-functional collaboration.
• Skilled in conflict resolution and removing obstacles to ensure project flow.
• Proficient in Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Monday.com).
• Ability to mentor and guide team members in Agile principles and practices.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with backlog prioritization and sprint planning.
• Adaptability in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management and customer-focused approach.
• Knowledge of data analytics and experience with data-as-a-service workflows.
