Immediate opening – Assembly Technician x

1st Shift - Monday - Thursday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm

Job Type: Hourly, non-exempt. Salary Range: $20/hour-$22/hour plus rich benefit package.

AVANTech, LLC solves some of the most challenging problems in the water industry – from being first responders to the Fukushima Nuclear Plant meltdown to creating sustainable water treatment solutions. We are hiring an experienced Assembly Technician to build Liners and Standard Waste Boxes. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling the filters in carbon steel tanks, in addition to installing all connections on top of the tanks.

A Day in the Life:

Work in confined spaces 50% of the time in the Fabrication Department. Standard entryway into vessels is a 26” diameter opening.

• Requires some ladder work at an elevated position of 72”.
• The Assembly Technician will perform PVC Pipe Gluing.
• Painting, Stenciling, and applying decals.
• Use of a Pneumatic Rivet gun.
• Utilize banding tools and standard hand tools.
• Operate overhead crane.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to use impact wrench, hand and power tools.
• Capable of operating drill press, belt sander, pneumatic rivet gun.
• Assembly Technician must be able to work in confined spaces.
• Must possess the ability to read and interpret data sheets and complete detailed inspection points.

Requirements:

Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent.

• At least 2 years’ experience with assembling, building, or fabricating.
• Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• Requires lifting up to 50 lbs., sitting for extended periods, standing for extended periods of time, reading, and walking.
• Ability to properly read a tape measure.
• Ability to work with multiple priorities.
• Attention to detail during assembly of products.

All candidates must be able to pass drug test, pre-employment physical, and possible background investigation. A high level of safe working practices is vital.

Job Type: Full-time, non-exempt, hourly. Salary range: $20/hour - $22/hour based on experience, skill level, and certifications.
