And we are growing with some new amazing customers!The Associate Sanitation Manager is responsible for supporting the sanitation operations and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards. This role will assist in overseeing the cleaning and sanitation of production areas, equipment, and facilities, ensuring they meet regulatory, customer, and company sanitation standards. The position plays a crucial role in managing daily sanitation tasks, employee training, and partnering with their cross functional peers throughout the plant.Come join the team that is reaching exponential potential by multiplying possibilities!ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Sanitation Program ManagementSupport the Sanitation Manager in implementing and maintaining sanitation program across the facility.Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, HACCP, and GMP standards.Assist in the scheduling and oversight of routine and deep cleaning activities, including maintaining a master cleaning schedule.Team Supervision:Assist in supervising the sanitation team, providing guidance and leadership to ensure efficient performance.Conduct regular training and development for sanitation personnel on cleaning protocols, equipment usage, and safety standards.Monitor employee performance, address issues, and maintain a positive and productive team environment.Quality Control:Conduct regular inspections of sanitation work to ensure high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with regulatory and customer requirements.Work closely with Quality Assurance and Production teams to resolve sanitation-related non-conformances and implement corrective actions.Assist in troubleshooting and improving sanitation procedures to prevent recurring issues.Documentation & Reporting:Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, including cleaning schedules, sanitation checks, and equipment maintenance logs.Assist in preparing reports for audits, regulatory inspections, and internal reviews related to sanitation performance.Support continuous improvement efforts by analyzing sanitation data and identifying opportunities for process improvements.Safety & Compliance:Conduct monthly GMP audit of plants and support follow up and corrective actions.Ensure sanitation procedures comply with OSHA regulations and promote a safe working environment for all employees.Address and mitigate any safety risks or hazards in the sanitation process.Lead the sanitation team in following proper chemical handling and cleaning techniques.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or other related field is preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience in food manufacturing or sanitation may be considered.At least 2 years of leadership experience in a sanitation role within the food manufacturing industry.Experience writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team.Knowledge of sanitation practices, HACCP, and GMP regulations.Proficient in using sanitation chemicals and equipment safely and effectively.Strong attention to detail with the focus on accuracy and precision.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.Proficiency with Microsoft OfficeFluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written) is preferredRoskam Foods offers a competitive compensation package including medical, dental and vision benefits, life and disability insurance, and a 401K plan with company match.AAP/EEO Statement: Roskam Foods is a recognized veteran friendly and equal opportunity employer.
