Backend Software Engineering Intern, Operational Tooling

About the Opportunity:

Wing is looking for an intern to join the Operational Tooling team based in Palo Alto, CA . Our team is building the next generation of systems to manage Wing’s aircraft automation and logistics tools.

In this role, you will:

• Collaborate with our team to design, develop, and test innovative solutions that directly influence how we manage fleet inventory and streamline aircraft logistics.
• Create automation tools that scale our operations while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

What You’ll Need:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, graduating between December 2025 and August 2026.
• Experience in API design.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team.
• Ability to identify challenging problems and potential solutions with guidance from a mentor.
• Experience/comfort with C++.
• Willingness to learn and passion about logistics management.

About the Program:

Wing is hosting a 12-week paid internship during the summer of 2025. It will be an in-person, hybrid internship based in Palo Alto, CA with start dates either in May or June.

The US base salary range for this internship position is $118,000 — $122,000 USD + benefits.
