Billing Specialist

Hybrid Schedule – 2 Days In-Office, 3 Days Remote
Location : Havre de Grace, MD | Full-Time

Ashley, Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented, experienced Billing Specialist to support our billing operations and patient accounts. This role is essential to ensuring accurate payments, timely reimbursements, and outstanding service to our patients and partners.

What You'll Do

• Review and validate charges for accuracy and compliance
• Prepare and submit accurate medical claims
• Resolve billing errors and rejections, claim denials, and insurance discrepancies
• Respond to patient billing inquiries and negotiate payment plans
• Process and post patient and insurance payments (EOBs/ERAs)

What You Bring

• High school diploma (required); certification in medical billing and coding (a plus)
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare billing, A/R, or insurance follow-up
• Knowledge of the revenue cycle and insurance terminology
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and math skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
