Heartship Psychological Services is a clinical psychology practice that specializes in supporting adults, couples, teens, and families through life’s challenges. Based in Pasadena with a partnership at Village Birth, as well as San Marino with The Family Room, we offer services both virtually throughout California and in-person at our two locations. Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role based in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area for a Child and Family Therapist. The therapist will provide counseling services for children and families, implement therapeutic techniques such as play therapy, and address a variety of mental health and family dynamics challenges. Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and maintaining case documentation and management. The therapist will work closely with families, children, and other professionals to foster a positive and healing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Play Therapy and working directly with children in a therapeutic setting
• Background in Social Work, Case Management, or family support services
• Strong knowledge and skills in mental health and counseling practices
• Proficiency in supporting families and children through collaboration and communication
• Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Psychologist in California
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, empathetic, and supportive therapeutic environment
