Client Write-Up Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Position Overview: The
Client Write-Up Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing the bookkeeping and financial record maintenance for multiple clients. This role involves handling monthly write-ups, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and ensuring the accuracy of clients' financial data. Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks and experience in a public accounting firm is essential. The ability to work with multiple clients simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail is critical for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities: - Perform client write-up services, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation.
- Handle all aspects of bookkeeping for clients, including data entry, bank and credit card reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger.
- Process payroll and prepare payroll tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate record-keeping for clients.
- Reconcile and maintain general ledgers for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare and file sales tax reports and other compliance filings as required by state and federal regulations.
- Assist clients in resolving discrepancies in their financial records, providing recommendations for process improvements.
- Work closely with clients and the tax team during year-end close to prepare financial statements for tax filing.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to clients, providing regular financial statements and analysis.
- Maintain organized and accurate records for all clients, adhering to the firm's quality and compliance standards.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience, with at least 2 years in a public accounting environment.
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks (desktop and online), Xero, or other accounting software is required.
- In-depth knowledge of general accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with payroll, payroll tax filings, and sales tax reports.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain professional client relationships.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
