Job Description:

• The client is seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Packaging Design Engineer with experience in consumer electronics to develop iconic, functional, and sustainable packaging solutions that reflect care for our products, the people who use them, and the world we live in.

Responsibilities:

• Create packaging solutions for consumer electronic products that balance protection, aesthetics, cost, and sustainability, while collaborating with suppliers to develop these solutions from high-level design concepts to production-ready formats.
• Be responsible for the conception, design, development, documentation creation, validation and release of packaging.
• Collaborate with ID, PMs, Engineers, User Experience, Marketing, Operations and Logistics teams both in region and out.

Experience (Mandatory):

• 3+ years of experience in packaging design for consumer electronics or high-tech products.
• Experience working with a wide range of consumer packaging materials.
• Experience with packaging Computer Aided Designs using 2D (ArtiosCAD) and 3D (SolidWorks, NX) applications and palletization software (TOPS and CAPE).

Experience (Desired):

• Ability to lead teams for quality, schedule or design.
• Experience managing multiple packaging projects in a cross-functional environment.
• Experience with logistics and operations and how they relate to packaging design.
• Experience working with sustainable packaging design methods and materials, with an understanding of international testing standards such as ASTM, ISTA, etc.
• Experience in packaging design and development for high-volume products. Understanding of various packaging materials tooling design and schedules.
• Ability to work in office and manufacturing environments.
• Experience with rendering software (Keyshot).

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, related field or equivalent practical experience.
