JOB DESCRIPTION

Murphy, Murphy & Murphy, Inc. is a Certified Public Accounting firm searching for a Corporate Tax Senior Accountant. Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 4-7 years of experience in corporate tax preparation and be proficient in Lacerte tax software.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare corporate tax returns (S-corp, C-corp, Partnership, and Fiduciary) with varying levels of complexity. Related tasks include:
• Create working trial balances
• Perform book-to-tax reconciliation
• Prepare to adjust journal entries
• Payroll reconciliation
• S-corporation shareholder basis reconciliation
• Perform business tax research
• Review tax returns for accuracy; ensure tax returns meet e-file requirements.
• Oversee corporate extension filing process.
• Download QuickBooks (QB) files and retrieve financials and necessary reports.
• Provide professionals with regular status updates on projects.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in corporate tax return preparation.
• Proficient in Lacerte & QB
• Strong analytical mind.
• Highly motivated and excellent ability to work with multiple professionals.
• Excellent in both oral and written communication.
• Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel & Outlook.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

• Tax experience: 4 years (Preferred)
