Job Description

Job Summary:
Job responsibilities include the coordination and oversight of the credentialing and re-credentialing process of all current group contracted payers with Erlanger Health System employed physicians and APPs, and other allied health providers. The applicant will be responsible for maintaining and updating provider information in ECHO, CAQH, and NPPES systems. Additional responsibilities include Facility Credentialing in PECOS. Accuracy, attention to detail, and time management is essential in this position.


Education:
Required:
Associate's Degree in Business or Office Management or comparable combination of education and experience. Specialized courses in computer systems and business communications. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.


Preferred:
Prior experience in payer or medical credentialing. A specialized course in computer systems and business communications or equivalent experience for various payer and agency systems.


Experience:
Required:
Prior experience credentialing providers with payers in either a physician practice or hospital setting.


Preferred:

Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration
Required:
Certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services or have the ability to become certified in three years.
