Data Scientist/Statistician (Level 1) - Aerospace Medical Research (AMR9)

ProSidian Seeks a Data Scientist/Statistician (Level 1) - Aerospace Medical Research (AMR9) headquartered near CONUS - Oklahoma City, OK to support requirements for Aerospace and Defense Sector Clients.

This CONUS - Oklahoma City, OK - Data Scientist/Statistician (Level 1) - Aerospace Medical Research (AMR9) Contract Contingent position currently best aligns with the Data Scientist/Statistician (Level 1) Labor Category.

Ideal candidates exhibit the ability to visualize, analyze, and convert data and experiences to meet performance challenges while confidently engaging in productive dialogue targeting mission success.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform analysis of genetic/genomic datasets for the Functional Genomics team.
• Find packages to implement assigned analyses, and perform feature/variable testing and selection under supervision of the Functional Genomics team.
• Use packages in R/CRAN and other software as needed.
• Review software documentation and be responsible for proper implementation of software.
• Write basic scripts and commands, and include sufficient annotation to allow future use of scripts by other team members.
• Provide all scripts, codes, and results to the Functional Genomics team.
• Document analytical methods used, including descriptions of names and versions of software along with features used.

Requirements:

• 2 years relevant experience to include: writing scripts and running commands in a Linux or Unix operating system; experience with R/CRAN for statistical analysis; experience with Python; experience with bioinformatics analyses such as mapping sequence reads.
• Adequate verbal/written communication skills to explain their computations to members of the team.
• U.S. Citizenship Required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Products.
