Southern California Alcohol and Drug Programs, Inc. (SCADP) was established in 1972 in a grassroots effort by community volunteers seeking alternatives for individuals with substance use disorder (SUD). SCADP is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization providing residential and outpatient substance abuse treatment.
PAY RATE: $20.90 - $22.00 Per Hour

JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE
The Domestic Violence Victim’s Advocate is responsible for promoting the program throughout the surrounding areas, supporting clients in need of crisis intervention methods in order to prepare individuals for further success. The DV Victim’s Advocate is an entry-level counselor, being supervised by an experienced counselor. The DV Victim’s Advocate works to empower individuals through a survivor-driven and strengths-focused approach, which helps participants to feel confident in their choices. Services also focus on aspects of social and emotional wellbeing as survivors are going through the housing placement process. Conducts community outreach to develop resources to support clients and their families. Part of a multi-disciplinary team that provides case management, housing referral, substance abuse referral, financial counseling and benefits services, as may be needed. This position is a mandated reporter for child abuse, as set forth in California Penal Code Section 11165.7.
