Description:

The Door Installer is responsible for the professional installation of residential doors. This role involves measuring, cutting, and fitting doors, ensuring proper alignment and functionality, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation:

  • Install a variety of doors and/or trim work, including interior and exterior doors with proper hinges, locks, and hardware.
  • Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and sealing to prevent air leaks and security issues.
  • Complete all work in a timely manner to ensure proper functionality, this includes recording work done, and providing all the necessary reporting/documentation upon completion.

Measurement & Preparation:

  • Take precise measurements and prepare openings for installation.
  • Cut, shape, and adjust doors and frames as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety codes, manufacturer guidelines, and customer specifications.

Customer Service & Communication:

  • Communicate with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Provide recommendations for door types, materials, and security features.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through quality workmanship and professionalism.

Tools & Equipment Handling:

  • Use power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and working condition.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Follow company safety protocols and industry regulations.
  • Ensure proper handling of materials and adherence to workplace safety standards.
  • Wear necessary protective gear and maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training is a plus).
  • 1-3 years of experience in door installation, carpentry, or construction.
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and installation manuals.
  • Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using power tools, drills, saws, and measuring equipment.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.
