Job Description
Looking for an individual with a class 3-1 drivers to run a tandem dump truck (no pups or trailers) for a paving project hauling aggregate from a crusher and asphalt to the paving project in town for the next 3-4 months in Agassiz.
Details: Responsibilities:
• Know driving laws.
• Keep shipping documents in precise order.
• Be familiar with route streets and highways.
• Be familiar with legal axle weights and allowance.
• Have good communication skills and be able to coordinate with other contractors and flagging crews on site.
•Be mechanically inclined and able to operate a dump truck in a safe manner.
Requirements:
• Valid Class 1 or 3 Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Valid Air Brake Endorsement & Manual Transmission Rating
• Clean driving abstract
• Strong knowledge of driving laws and regulations in each Jurisdiction
• Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with highways
• Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills.
The job is temporary to this contract however there will be another project in Hudson’s Hope BC this season if the right applicant is willing to travel. If that is the case a Living Out Allowance would be provided.
