Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing firm, and we are recruiting an experienced, Engineering Programs Manager to support the Davis Besse Nuclear Power Plant near Toledo, OH.

 

Experience: 3-5 years of nuclear industry program management experience.

Annual Base Salary: $90,000 - $130,000 (commensurate with experience)

Position Summary: 

Davis–Besse is an 894-megawatt nuclear power plant located northeast of Oak Harbor, Ohio. It has a single pressurized water reactor. This direct hire role will represent the company in correspondence with regulators, contractors, and industry groups to achieve nuclear production objectives and ensures that station design bases and associated licensing bases are maintained.

 

Responsibilities: 

• Managing engineering programs to provide timely and cost-effective engineering services and technical support for the plant.
• Provides input to master contracts for engineering programs implementation.
• Supports refuel outages through coordination and oversight of Engineering Program activities and requirements.
• Coordinates engineering programs input to design changes.
• Leads engineering initiatives and efforts to establish common processes.
• Supports the Corrective Action Program.
• Supports the Engineering Human Performance program
• Facilitates staffing activities and directs the activities of individual contributors within the group.
• Coordinates and plans large work-scope projects and task teams.
• Allocates personnel and budget to complete engineering activities and meet department/site goals.
• Provides timely resolution to technical problems to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective plant operation.
• Provides engineering recommendations and priorities important to plant operations.
• Monitors and controls costs within approved budget limits.
• Ensures involvement in industry working groups.
• Interfaces with State and Federal regulators to demonstrate continued safe operation.

 

Education / Experience:  

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 3-5 years of nuclear industry program management experience.
• Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) Certification/License desired.
• Technical understanding of nuclear plant processes, programs, and procedures.
• Technical knowledge of nuclear codes, standards, and regulations.
• Previous experience in budgeting, planning, and scheduling.
