Mechanical Engineer I  

Celtic is hiring! Celtic Engineering, Inc., a leader in mechanical / machine-design and specialty engineering within the Entertainment/Hospitality and structural engineering industries, seeks a Mechanical Engineer I/II for our Windermere, FL office.  

 

A successful candidate will be a self-motivated mechanical engineer who is ready to learn and contribute to the detailed analysis and/or detailed design of mechanical components and equipment or mechanisms associated with simple and complex geometries, and animated dynamic equipment.  

 

As a learning and growing Mechanical Engineer, you will develop new technical skills and interests towards proficiency, with increasing levels of engineering responsibility and reduced oversight as you gain experience. You will also have the option to progress further as a technical expert or develop further into Project Management.

Your Contributions to Our Team:  

  • Learn to conduct analysis and/or design of mechanical/mechanism components and systems.  
  • Calculate loads, motions, kinetics, kinematics, FBD’s, stresses, deformations  
  • Contribute to creative formulation of designs, evaluation of alternatives, and specify actuation systems  
  • Opportunity to work with a Mentor to further your learning and career advancement  
  • Express your engineering creativity through intelligent engineering solutions  
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to satisfy the client, the creative intent, and the engineer’s obligation to the public.  
  • Contribute to the production of mechanical 3D model and fabrication & assembly drawing packages using Solid Works  
  • Contribute to the production of site observation reports, conditions assessments, and construction administration.  
  • Learn to produce then conduct industry standard hazard analysis and failure modes and affects analysis  
  • Participate in installation testing activities  
  • Assist the PM and EOR with QAQC of work  

What Contributions Do You Bring with You? 

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (required).  
  • Graduate degree with emphasis in Mechanical Engineering is preferred but not required.  
  • Familiarity with modeling and creating drawings (Solid Works preferred) 
  • Familiarity with high-fidelity FEA (Ansys preferred) 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, and communication abilities.  
  • Engineer Intern (EI) preferred  
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, fabrication and assembly of machines and mechanisms
