As a Field Operations Manager, you will support and enhance the Environmental Health and Safety programs at our manufacturing facility and promote a safe and compliant work environment by implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving safety and environmental programs in alignment with company policies and regulatory standards.Job Description
We are looking for an Environmental Health & Safety in the Fuquay Varina, NC area . This position will be full-time and on-site.
What You'll Do
Support and lead the day-to-day EHS operations, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, local, and company regulations
Develop and deliver EHS training programs to employees at all levels, emphasizing hazard recognition, accident prevention, and safety best practices
Conduct risk assessments and job safety analyses to identify and mitigate potential hazards
Lead or support investigations into accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents; perform root cause analyses and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence
Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of incidents and ensure timely reporting to regulatory agencies when required
Collaborate with department heads and employees to foster a culture of continuous improvement regarding safety and environmental compliance
Monitor environmental metrics, ensuring compliance with environmental permits, waste management practices, and pollution control
Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, evaluate control measures, and ensure compliance with regulations and standards
Support emergency response planning, including training and drill execution for employees
Assist in maintaining emergency equipment and procedures, including fire extinguishers, spill kits, and evacuation plans
What You'll Need
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health, or related field, or equivalent work experience
3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with hands-on knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state regulations
Strong organizational and communication skills, with an ability to work effectively across departments
Proficiency in EHS software and Microsoft Office applications
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
