The Human Resources Manager – Tysons Corner is expected to:
- Educate and maintain all applicable company procedures, policies and benefits.
- Stay current on state and federal employment and wage and hour laws and recommend policy adjustments as necessary.
- Be a teacher to support the efforts of other employees to be successful.
- Seek ways to improve business operations efficiencies and customer service
REPORTS TO: VP of Human Resources
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Must maintain current knowledge of Federal and local employment and wage and hour laws to work collaboratively with onsite HR Representatives to educate and ensure compliance within stores.
- Work regularly with store onsite human resources representatives and store management to educate and instill human resources best practices:
- Recruitment and selection
- Onboarding
- Performance management
- Talent management
- Work as a team with store management to focus on high turnover departments to evaluate
- Hiring practices
- Management practices
- Help stores to facilitate regular benefit education to employees.
- Work as a collaborative team with onsite HR Representatives to conduct thorough employment investigations.
- Assist AAG/Koons HR department with various research projects and/or special projects.
- Regularly utilize AAG/Koons Human Resources database for record retention.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- 4 years human resources experience and working with multiple managers in performance management and talent management matters, SHRM or HRCI certification preferred but not required.
- 4 years experience with investigation responsibilities.
- Proficiency in computer software such as Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
- Good organizational and multi-tasking skills; detail oriented.
- Excellent spelling and grammar skills.
- Public speaking experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work performed in an offices and occasional dealership settings.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about facilities.
- Ability to travel up to 50% annually.
- Must maintain a valid Motor Vehicle Record within company policy requirements.
