Job Description

Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and a keen attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Gwinn, MI

Pay Range: $22.00 to $25.00 per Hour, Depending on Experience

What's the Job?

• Safely and quickly troubleshoot mechanical problems in a fast-paced plant environment.
• Understand, record, and react to mechanical issues within the plant.
• Monitor and document required checklists related to maintenance procedures.
• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
• Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and using precision measuring instruments.

What's Needed?

• 5 or more years of industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience.
• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• Experience with fabrication: welding, machining, metal working, etc.
• Ability to read blueprints, P&ID drawings, and electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Experience with mechanical aspects of hydraulics and pneumatics.

What's in it for me?

• Full-time, 40-50 hours per week, temp to hire position.
• Shift Information: Day Shift - 4 10's 7am-5:30pm with rotating weekends. 
• For training, regardless of shift, it will be M-F 8am-4:30pm.
