Job Description

Endeavor ( is a commercial real estate and PropTech talent agency providing high touch recruitment services throughout major US cities. Endeavor has partnered with a well-capitalized, growing commercial real estate private equity firm with a growing commercial real estate debt platform. The firm is looking to hire an investment analyst to join their team.

The ideal candidate is a savvy problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment and consistently exceeds expectations. Regular communication with internal and external decision-makers will be expected in this role, offering exposure to industry leaders in the real estate investment community.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis and underwriting of new equity & debt investments;
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret real estate market data/trends and financial information;
  • Coordinate the due diligence process including managing third-party service providers such as appraisers, engineers, consultants, etc., and conduct critical review and analysis of all third-party reports;
  • Prepare and present final due diligence findings to Investment Committee;
  • Conduct comprehensive site inspections, including sale and rent comparable properties;
  • Assist in the proactive monitoring and management of a portfolio of debt investments across all property types (office, industrial, hotel, retail, & residential) and securitized products
  • Review and analyze business plans, leasing activity, lease approvals, draws and monthly property operating performance
  • Liaison with borrowers and leading members of the Asset Management Team to review business plan execution and ensure debt covenants are met
  • Generate reporting materials to monitor the performance of investments at the asset level
  • Perform credit analysis of potential sponsors

What it takes to succeed

  • Experience with property underwriting and advanced financial modeling
  • 2-3 years of experience with a commercial real estate investment platform
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and ARGUS
  • Attention to detail with superior organizational skills
  • Proven ability to multitask and quickly understand new concepts
  • Desire to work as part of a small, highly entrepreneurial team
  • Ability to read and analyze loan documents, lease and management agreements
  • Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and work with limited direct guidance
