LaBella Associates is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backup & Data Protection Systems Administrator to oversee enterprise-wide data protection operations. This role is responsible for administering and maintaining backup systems that support over 30 office locations across the United States and Madrid, Spain. The successful candidate will demonstrate deep technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to data integrity and security. Additionally, successful candidates shall be trustworthy, have a positive attitude, and be self- motivated with the willingness to learn and continue building their knowledge.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

· Administer and support enterprise-grade backup solutions, including Veeam , Backup Exec , and StorageCraft , across a hybrid IT infrastructure.

· Monitor, troubleshoot, and remediate failed or incomplete backup jobs, ensuring data protection SLAs are met.

· Perform system-level and file-level backups, ensuring recoverability of mission-critical data.

· Conduct routine maintenance of backup platforms, including RTL libraries and associated hardware.

· Maintain thorough documentation for backup architectures, policies, disaster recovery procedures, and change management.

· Ensure all backup and recovery operations comply with LaBella’s information security program and industry best practices.

· Provide assistance with file/data cross-system migrations

· Collaborate with IT security and infrastructure teams to develop and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

· Train designated IT personnel on backup processes and procedures to ensure operational redundancy.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise backup systems, including Veeam and Backup Exec.

· Minimum 7 years of experience in the IT field, with a focus on infrastructure or systems administration.

· Proficiency in Windows Server environments , Active Directory, and standard IT operations.

· Strong understanding of data lifecycle management , backup topologies (remote/local), and storage configurations.

· Solid troubleshooting skills and the ability to clearly document technical processes.

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (preferred but not required).

Preferred Skills & Certifications

• Recent security certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar).
• Experience with ManageEngine , HPE/Nimble storage solutions , and enterprise storage architecture.
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud-based backup strategies.
• Knowledge of scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to automate backup workflows and reporting.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $90,000

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
