Financial Analyst

Direct Hire | Full Time

$65,000 $75,000 | Competitive Benefits Package

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated Financial Analyst to join our clients Finance team in Westminster, CO. This role will support the Sr. Director of FP&A in cash forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting . Youll play a key role in analyzing performance, preparing board materials, and helping leadership make better financial and operational decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support creation of board of director materials, including 3-statement modeling.
• Develop weekly cash forecasts in partnership with AR, AP, Operational Finance, and Operations.
• Track daily cash balances and assist in making informed spending decisions.
• Analyze contract terms to model DSO, retainage collection, and billings in excess/costs in excess.
• Provide reports on actual cash results and job performance analysis.
• Create presentations explaining cash result drivers, influencing leadership to improve cash management.
• Support FP&A team with job variance and P&L analysis.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Proficiency with MS Excel (pivot tables, financial models), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; ERP/reporting system experience a plus.
• Strong analytical abilities to assess financial data, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
• Ability to explain financial details to non-financial managers and interact across departments.
• Root cause problem-solving and process improvement mindset.
• Knowledge of balance sheets, income statements, financial statements, and consolidations.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 13 years of experience in financial analysis or related role.
• Experience in project accounting and/or construction a plus.
• Proven track record of creating and implementing reporting solutions.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with a customer-focused approach.
