Job Description
The Jr. Product Manager supports the Product Manager in the development and optimization of the product. The Junior Product Manager is generally responsible for researching, understanding, and communicating the needs of the consumers to the Product Manager. The Junior Product Manager will then collaborate with the development team to enhance and improve the product roadmap. The Junior Product Manager's role is to support the Product Manager in improving overall user satisfaction, minimizing feedback submission barriers and communicating the goals and steps to reaching the product roadmap and strategy.
The Junior Product Manager helps to maintain the backlog and its prioritization and works closely with the business analysts and scrum master that drive the work through the process based on the Product Manager's prioritization.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the Product Manager on a day-to-day basis as it is a supporting as well as learning role
Help the Product Manager translate business strategy into product strategy
Maintain the product roadmap established by the Product Manager
Collaborate with the Product Manager in maintaining plan integration and ensuring the overall achievement of product objectives
Work with Delivery, Project, and account teams to address specific product requests and issues
Prioritize backlog based on impact and coordinate priorities with Product Manager and Scrum Master
Support the Product Manager in identifying and outlining development requirements based on client or internal requests, feature gaps, product enhancements
Communicate customer feedback, requirements, and issues to the Product Manager accordingly
Support the Product manager in the review of enhancement requests to maximize efficiencies
Collaborate with Development team and Business Analysts to obtain proper scoping for new feature requests and communicate those to the Product Manager
Collaborate with Support team to manage technical issues and questions and escalate to product Manager as needed
Work with other departments to ensure product deadlines are met
Represent the Product team and its strategy in the absence of the Product Manager
