About Us:

Scott's Pointe is a premier destination located in Calverton, NY. Our venue is home to the Lakeview Terrace Bar & Grill. We provide food and beverage service to our restaurant, 2 bars, and lakeside VIP Cabanas. We have countless attractions such as the largest surf pool in the country, 2 acres of aqua park on a 20-acre lake, axe throwing, laser tag, ninja warrior courses, rock climbing, simulators and more.

About the Role:

We are seeking energetic Lifeguards to ensure the safety of our guests in the lake. The Lifeguard will monitor activities in the lake area such as the aqua park, board rentals, and bumper boats to prevent accidents and provide assistance to swimmers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising lake activities at the facility and ensuring that policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed.
• Warning swimmers of improper activities or danger and enforcing facility regulations and water safety policies.
• Administering first aid in the event of injury, rescuing swimmers in distress or danger of drowning, and administering CPR and/or artificial respiration, if necessary.
• Evaluating conditions for safety and initiating aquatics emergency action plan as required.
• Inspecting equipment and water to ensure that they are safe, clean, inflated and usable.

About You:

• Lifeguard training and certification required.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Skill in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
• Knowledge of CPR and emergency medical procedures.
• Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to bend reach as job demands.
• Must be able to work under various weather conditions.
