TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Manager in Byhalia, MS.

The position will be responsible for operating, developing and improving the
internal and external logistics processes that deliver cost effective service
that consistently meet company and customer needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for all aspects related to managing and streamlining efficient Inbound Logistics processes importing from various countries.
• Develop and implement shipping / receiving planning and tracking processes and tools
• Generate & maintain routing guides for all suppliers
• Identify, engage and manage ocean carriers, booking, freight forwarding, customs entries, trans-loading and local deliveries.
• Establish freight audit procedures
• Work with manufacturing and external customers to develop and implement improvements to elevator and parts packaging
• Optimize inbound and outbound transportation operations to provide the best service at the best cost
• Lead ongoing efforts to optimize inventories based on forecast accuracy and
  manufacturing efficiencies
• Work with procurement, logistics teams, internal and external customers to identify and implement improvements in material flow processes through the application of world-class methods and measurements
• Serve as a support and implementation role to the Corporate Logistics Group with their initiatives, best practices, and continuous improvement projects
• Maintain regulatory compliance to all governmental agencies inclusive of DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
• 5-10 years of progressive internal and external logistics leadership
• Logistics experience in the manufacturing goods industry.
• Project Management Experience
• Effective decision-making skills are required and the ability to work well with
  others.
• Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
• Knowledge of electrical systems.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferred
