As a Machinist/CNC Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of manual and CNC machines to fabricate components with high precision according to specifications. You will work with blueprints, technical drawings, and cutting tools to produce high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements
• Set up and operate both manual and CNC machines (milling, turning, etc.) to manufacture parts according to specifications
• Select and install appropriate cutting tools and apply them to various machining tasks
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet strict tolerances and quality standards
• Perform mathematical calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and machining parameters
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery

Qualifications:

· Minimum three (3) years of experience as a machinist, with two (2) years of vocational training or equivalent.

• Solid understanding of machining processes such as milling and turning
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
• Strong knowledge of cutting tools and their proper application
• Experience operating CNC and manual machines
• Programming and CAM experience (preferred)
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
• Strong understanding of basic geometry and trigonometry for performing accurate calculations
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 50 lbs)
• Good vision and hearing for safety and quality assurance purposes
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
• Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
