Job Description Role Description
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining plant equipment and facilities to ensure minimal machine downtime and maximum production efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a well-developed mechanical aptitude, be self-driven, prioritize safety and quality, perform work in a timely manner and thrive in a team environment.

Schedule: Day Shift 4 10's M-Th (9A.M.- 7 P.M.) Duties & Responsibilities
\n - Responsible for performing mechanical repairs of a complex nature using hand and power tools.
\n - Perform preventive and predictive maintenance according to established schedules.
\n - Use technical drawings, manuals, and schematics to guide repair and assembly work.
\n - Fabricate machine guards, special tools and equipment as needed.
\n - Document all work performed through CMMS (JDE).
\n - Install machinery and mechanical equipment.
\n - Repair hydraulic equipment, hoists and lift-trucks.
\n - Maintain the plant physical structure.
\n - Perform all duties in accordance with work instructions and procedures to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the plant.
\n - Perform other duties as required to support team and organizational goals

Qualifications Required Qualifications
\n - Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of rotating machinery.
\n - Must have the ability to learn to use and read micrometers, tape measure, feeler gauge, assorted hand and power tools, welders, cutting torch and basic hand tools.
\n - Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
\n - Must be able to stand/walk on concrete floors for 10-12 hour shifts.
\n - Must be able to push/pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
\n - Must be able to operate a forklift and/or electric cart
\n - Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions with temperatures ranging from 40-100+ degrees Fahrenheit.

Preferred Qualifications
\n - High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
\n - Previous manufacturing experience that includes the use of measuring devices and the use of basic math and mechanical skills.
\n - Completion of a 2-year course of study in industrial maintenance, a recognized maintenance apprenticeship program, or two years' industrial maintenance experience.
\n - Three-to-five years' experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment.

\n - Hand tools, power tools, forklifts, mobile elevated platforms, overhead hoist, welders, cutting torches, iron worker, drill press, hydraulic and hand press.
\n - Personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, face shield, fall protection, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toed safety shoes.

\n - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
\n - An applicant must complete a satisfactory background check post-offer of employment. A criminal conviction will not be an automatic bar to employment.
