Position Summary

HUB International is seeking to add an energetic and self-motivated Marketing Intern to our marketing team in the Cincinnati office! This is an exciting opportunity to take your marketing education beyond the classroom. In this internship, you will be responsible for supporting the marketing team across all areas of the business, including content creation, social media marketing, events and market research. This is a fully onsite internship at our Cincinnati office located in Kenwood, and the intern will report to our Director of Marketing.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Support the marketing team in daily tasks:
  • Create, update and edit various marketing items including bios, PowerPoints, one-pagers, etc.
  • Utilize marketing templates and pre-written copy to create one-pagers, PowerPoints, advertisements, etc.
  • Organize and update marketing materials on various internal systems
  • Assist in managing and creating content for HUB Heartland social media accounts, including creating copy and graphics
  • Get involved in the podcast production and distribution process for HUB employee benefits podcast content
  • Conduct email marketing and lead generation efforts for the organization
  • Work cross functionally with teams across multiple insurance disciplines, including Employee Benefits, Campus Health, Medicare, and Property & Casualty
Assist in the organization of marketing events:
  • Schedule and manage conference logistics
  • Assist in drafting materials to promote events and seminars
Market Research
  • Use survey monkey to support client facing surveys, distribute surveys via email and create reports based on survey results
  • Provide ideas to support strategic marketing, public relations and corporate communications
  • Research activities for specified marketing projects
  • Other projects and tasks as necessary

Desired Skills

  • Currently enrolled in and pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or another relevant degree
  • Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices
  • Solid understanding of different marketing techniques
  • Prior internship or corporate experience is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with marketing computer software and online applications (e.g. Visme, Canva, Issue, the Creative Suite)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
  • Coachable, self-starter with a strong work ethic
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills

Required Experience: Less than 1 year of relevant experience

Required Education: Some college (no degree)
