A bit about us:

We are a manufacturer of specialty guidance and control flight hardware for spinning and guided rockets. We have built over 1000 Miniature Inertial Digital Attitude System platforms for various customers. Other subsystems that we have manufactured and flown extensively include the cold gas, adjustable Attitude Control System, the zero-g Rate Control System, the Magnetic ACS and the integrated Advanced Guidance Control System.

Job Details

SUMMARY:
Help us win new business and revisit previous customers in the Space, Aerospace, and Defense industries.

MUST HAVES:

OBJECTIVES:
  • Improve our new business pipeline by developing new customers and improve process for existing customer.
  • Develop new customers via proactive outreach.
  • Increase new business opportunities – RFI, RFPs, RFQs
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • New Customer development: Map out potential new customers. Develop and execute an engagement strategy in some ranked order.
  • Engage [qualified] customers where no relationship exists; email, phone, linked in, etc. Develop qualified leads for more detailed engagement.
  • Lead the weekly new business review. Run our weekly new business meeting, going through pipeline. Capture key updates and publish/follow up on individual actions. Follow up and ensure actions are executed, etc. Revise format, content as you see appropriate.
  • Manage our outside representative company. Be their key point of contact.
  • Use our product data sheets; assess best benchmark formats and help select best format; then implement SVC data into selected format. Or keep current format and update across all for consistency and much better photos, data, etc.
  • Keep our website fresh and updated. Be an active content generator; Develop/write updates such as news, launches, successes, pictures, data sheets, videos etc. Add more frequent PR content to website.
  • Manage Proposal process: Clear notification to all stakeholders of inbound RFP, schedule bid/no-bid, schedule Prop reviews in timely manner according to Prop due date.
  • Communicate: Important customer comms (copy of email or phone notes) loaded into share drive as appropriate. Key pipeline updates. Follow up on proposals or RFIs.
TARGET AREAS TO FOCUS FOR BUSINESS:
  • Every missile provider or weapon provider; at prime tier or just below (means every RTX competitor and then their key supply chain)
  • New Launch entrants for FTS and maybe RF: Every BO, Firefly, ULA competitor
  • Dig up all our prior customers for fresh engagement (>3 years or something); perhaps a basic customer satisfaction discussion to start)
  • Nanoracks, and then every single Nanoracks competitor; who, what, how)
  • Use matrix of companies we received from an industry partner.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • 3-5+ Years of professional Business Development experience in the Aerospace industry.
  • Bachelors in Engineering preferred.
  • Great written and Oral communicator.
