Primary Role - Read customer meters and perform various other functions related to customer billing and collections.
Key Accountabilities - Reads and records customer meter readings on hand-held unit and Toughbook. Records stopped meters, broken meters, dials, boxes, etc. Does minor meter repair and meter box repair.
- Investigates and resolves customer billing exception and other inquiries.
- Arranges appointments, reports leaks and maintains records. Reads and interprets maps/records. Download and upload meter-reading routes.
- Performs other similar work that he/she may be called upon to perform and any other work as necessary or to satisfactorily complete the job to which he/she has been assigned.
- As required, may support operations including times of emergencies.
- Drives a company vehicle.
- Small hand tools and any other tools necessary to complete the job.
Knowledge/Skills - Knowledge and/or ability to quickly learn about the company.
- Ability to carry out oral and written instructions.
- Knowledge of equipment used, and of basic computer operating principles to process accounts and analyze computer data.
- Requires normal physical and mechanical ability and a neat appearance.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds.
- Must possess a valid California Driver's License.
Experience/Education - High school education or equivalent.
Compensation $37.86 hourly
