Full-time assistant for small law firm to prepare forms, communicate with court staff and vendors, organize case files and invoices, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve existing digital and hardcopy systems and resources, help proof-read and edit legal briefs, and perform administrative work related to running the firm, such as paying bills and coordinating with vendors. The position is in their Seattle office, with the potential to transition to some remote days each week for the right candidate.

Compensation: $30/hr

Availability: Monday- Friday, 9-5

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an enthusiastic problem-solver.
  • Share a passion for the firm's work and clients.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office, Share Point, Adobe Acrobat, and QuickBooks.
  • Value an organized, aesthetically pleasing office environment.
  • Have an aptitude for learning new online databases and online court filing systems.
  • Be an excellent writer with experience editing formal written material and adhering to style manuals and citation formats.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Aptitude for trouble-shooting IT issues.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Share Point, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to be physically present in the office during normal business hours and to regularly complete short trips (e.g., post office, bank).
  • Ability to work under occasional time-pressure (e.g., court filing deadlines) and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Friendly demeanor and a sense of humor.
