Compensation:

$22 - $26 hourly

Responsibilities:

You’ll play a critical role supporting attorneys and clients through the full estate planning lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Drafting and preparing legal documents
  • Filing documents with the courts and managing e-filing procedures 
  • Managing deadlines and attorney calendars to drive the timely completion of all work
  • Organizing client documents, financials, and case files for efficient access 
  • Meeting with clients to gather information, review materials, and provide updates 
  • Coordinating with opposing counsel and court staff as needed 
  • Supporting attorneys in hearing and trial prep, including assembling exhibits 
  • Delegating and following up on tasks with legal assistants when applicable 
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of paralegal experience , preferably in  Estate or Elder Planning
  • Want to do work that truly matters
  • Strong emotional intelligence — able to work with clients in crisis with empathy and professionalism 
  • Hold yourself to high standards while staying real and approachable 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to deadlines

  • Think beyond "either/or" and look for win-win solutions 
  • Value structure, but aren’t afraid to innovate 
  • Like to work independently, but value strong team collaboration 
  • Willingness to occasionally work after hours to meet deadlines 
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office and legal practice management software 
  • Knowledge of Tennessee and local legal procedures is strongly preferred 
  • Paralegal certification or equivalent education preferred
