Senior Accountant – Real Estate Development

Location: Alpharetta, Ga.
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Industry: Real Estate Development | Multifamily | Build-to-Rent

Are you a detail-driven accounting professional with a passion for real estate development?
We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing team and take ownership of property-level financials, system management (Yardi & Procore), and development budget oversight. This is an opportunity to play a key role in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your insights and precision will directly impact the success of our projects.

What You’ll Do

• Manage all construction loan draws and ensure accurate, timely reporting.
• Partner with construction management to process Pay Apps and verify all supporting documentation.
• Serve as the primary administrator for Yardi, ensuring data integrity and system optimization.
• Oversee treasury management and cash flow processes in coordination with banks and Yardi.
• Prepare and analyze monthly GAAP financial statements and variance reports.
• Compile and deliver lender reporting packages and other financial documentation.
• Record monthly adjusting and accrual entries with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with Asset and Property Management teams on operational reporting initiatives.
• Assist with tax return preparation and annual audit processes.
• Manage weekly check runs, accounts payable review, and posting.

What You Bring

• 3–5 years of experience in real estate or development accounting, ideally within multifamily or Build-to-Rent.
• Proficiency with Yardi (3–5 years preferred); experience with Procore is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
