Salary: $55 - $80 per hour
A bit about us: A leading FinTech organization is seeking experienced software engineers to fill two critical remote positions: Lead Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer. These roles are long-term contract positions, requiring W2 employment. If you're passionate about building scalable, secure systems and have strong AWS expertise, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Your focus will be on software engineering, with an 80% emphasis on development and a 20% emphasis on integrating testing and quality assurance. The work environment is remote, with two rounds of technical interviews, including hands-on coding and test strategy exercises, ensuring that only the most skilled candidates join this elite team.
Responsibilities
- Lead Software Engineer (10+ Years of Experience):
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of complex, cloud-based software solutions.
- Mentor and guide a team of engineers, promoting best practices in software development and DevOps.
- Oversee system design, ensuring scalability, performance, and security across all solutions.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, integrating automated testing to ensure high-quality releases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and deliver robust products.
Senior Software Engineer (7+ Years of Experience):
- Design and develop software solutions with a focus on AWS cloud services.
- Participate in system architecture discussions and contribute to the design of scalable, secure systems.
- Write and review code in Java or Python, ensuring adherence to best practices in object-oriented development.
- Implement test automation strategies, including unit testing and performance optimization.
- Work closely with DevOps to streamline CI/CD processes and improve software delivery.

Job Details Education and Experience Requirements
Lead Software Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience, or equivalent training and/or work experience.
- Extensive system design experience.
- Strong object-oriented development skills.
- Advanced experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
- Expertise in data storage technologies and performance tuning.
- Solid experience in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline management.
- Proficiency in test automation, unit testing, and software security.
Senior Software Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience, or equivalent training and/or work experience.
- Strong system design experience.
- Proficiency in object-oriented development.
- Significant experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
- Knowledge of data storage technologies and performance optimization.
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools.
- Skills in test automation, unit testing, and software security.
- Previous experience in the financial sector or with financial systems is highly desirable.
- Must be authorized to work in the USA and eligible to work on a W2 basis (no 1099 or C2C options available).
Interview Process
Round 1: A 1.5-hour software development exercise focused on Java.
Round 2: A 2-hour exercise dedicated to developing a test strategy for a hypothetical product.
