Impact As a Senior Mobile Engineer working remotely on Shipt’s Member Mobile App team, you will be focused on building a world-class mobile experience for Shipt marketplace consumers and architecting reliable, performant and scalable React Native solutions. While no day will look the same, you will work with a cross-functional crew composed of app, web, and backend engineers, a product manager, a designer, and an engineering manager. With this group, you’ll tackle projects from discovery to launch, delivering extraordinary features to our customers across the nation. You will participate in data-driven approaches to conduct experiments and iterate upon capabilities. You will be working hands-on with React Native, React Context, NodeJS, React Query, Typescript, GraphQL, CircleCI, Bugsnag, Amplitude, and Detox. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for code reviews, guiding design discussions, participatin What You’ll Need to Be Successful 5+ years developer experience, with 3+ years of React Native experience Experience with native packages and complex package upgrades is a bonus Experience with testing; unit, integration, e2e, etc. Strong collaboration with Design and Product to consistently ship projects and enhancements by transforming hi-fidelity designs into accurate, working features Ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts concisely Experience with code review to maintain and advocate for best practices Demonstrated ability of constructive feedback, guidance, and support to other team members through mentorship. Experience leading technical efforts to improve app maintainability, observability, stability, and performance Version control / Github Work Arrangement Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections. Other compensation includes eligibility for an annual bonus and the potential for restricted stock units based on role. Pay range: Metro Areas of Boston, District of Columbia, Seattle and New York City: $112,000-$224,000 Metro Areas of Los Angeles and San Francisco: $118,657.43-$224,000 All other locations: $93,000-$187,000 Please note that the salary range above is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
