Job Description Senior Project Manager – Civil & Underground Utilities Construction The Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, budgeting, and coordinating civil and underground utilities, environmental, remediation, and sitework construction projects. This role involves hands-on management throughout all project phases—from pre-construction through closeout—ensuring schedules, budgets, and safety standards are met. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily construction activities in collaboration with Superintendents, Foremen, and Project Engineers. Ensure pre-planning is completed before work begins, including safety documentation, scheduling, and permit procurement. Attend pre-construction meetings and execute all required subcontracts and purchase orders. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, cost projections, and change order management. Track and manage project documentation such as JHAs, test reports, incident reports, and progress photos. Monitor project financials, maintaining profitability and proactively addressing budget variances. Facilitate client communication, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for future business. Conduct safety inspections and support the development and enforcement of site-specific safety plans. Provide leadership across internal project teams and subcontractor networks. Support business development through client meetings, bid preparation, and scope reviews.
