Overview Applications are being accepted for a 6.5 hour per day Sign Language Interpreter position at Bellevue Public Schools. The Sign Language Interpreter works under the direction and supervision of a teacher or other designated member of the school staff. The Sign Language Interpreter assists students acquire skills and competencies taught by the classroom teacher. Responsibilities Interpret for students one-on-one and in classroom settings as needed, and assist the teacher in the classroom. Assist in the lunchroom, transportation, and recreational activities in all areas of the building. Qualifications Applicant must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of themselves or others with or without reasonable accommodations. Applicant must be capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position assigned and for the duration of the assignment. This position is subject to a veterans preference.
