Overall responsibilities are to provide communication assistance via sign language interpreting to the deaf and hard of hearing students in and out of the classroom as assigned. Minimum Required Qualifications Level I Interpreter Certification (TSID or RID) or meet ADA qualifications standard. One year experience preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficiency in communication and interpretation between the hearing-impaired and the non-hearing impaired. Understanding of a person with deafness preferred form of communication. Show interest, enthusiasm, empathy, and a desire to help others. Have good interpersonal skills, and must be able to communicate effectively both written and orally. Work Schedule Hours: Part-time, with varying hours between 7:30 a.m. - 10:00 p.m., seven days a week as needed.
