Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 school in Flomaton, AL, is seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support students with hearing impairments throughout the academic year. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in an educational environment, facilitating munication and inclusion for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa to ensure clear munication between students, teachers, and staff.
• Assist students during classroom lessons, extracurricular activities, and school events.
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
• Adapt munication styles to meet individual student needs.
