Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity seeks a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support a Kindergarten student in an elementary school setting. The role involves providing one-on-one interpretation services to facilitate effective munication and inclusion for the student throughout the school day.

Key Qualifications:

• Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter with an EIPA score of 3.0 or higher
• Experience working with young children, preferably in an educational setting
• Ability to deliver precise, clear interpretation in a one-on-one environment
• Strong understanding of child development and educational terminology
• Flexibility and professionalism to work on a contract basis throughout the school year

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct sign language interpretation for a Kindergarten student in a one-on-one setting
• Foster munication between the student, teachers, and peers
• Adapt interpreting techniques to the students needs and progress
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure effective educational access
