About this role The Logistics Network Engineer is responsible to design, develop, and optimize our logistics and supply chain network. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, extensive experience in logistics and supply chain management, and a deep understanding of network modeling and simulation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of our logistics operations. This role involves analyzing and improving the flow of goods from Suppliers to Customers, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness and customer satisfaction across all Carrier's Business Units and Regions globally.
Key Responsibilities - Develop, design, and optimize the logistics network, including transportation routes, distribution centers, and warehouse locations.
- Utilize advanced modeling and simulation tools to analyze and improve network performance.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and service level enhancements.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop forecasting models to predict logistics needs based on demand, inventory levels, and other key factors.
- Perform scenario analysis to assess the impact of potential changes to the network.
- Lead and manage logistics network projects from inception through implementation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Continuously assess and improve logistics processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline operations.
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of experience in logistics or warehouse optimization.
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, Tableau)
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in using network modeling tools and logistics management software. (e.g., Llamasoft).
- Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies in logistics and supply chain management.
- Experience with warehousing and transportation optimization methods and tools (TMS, WMS)
- Experience with data analytics including MS Excel, network modeling, coding and Business Intelligence reporting tools.
