One Physics is seeking a full-time Talent Acquisition Specialist / Recruiter to join our growing team based out of Towson, Maryland. About the Role

We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist / Recruiter with 2–5 years of experience to join our growing HR team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about people, recruiting, and building strong relationships. You’ll play a key part in attracting top talent, supporting hiring managers, and ensuring a seamless experience for candidates and new hires.

Beyond recruiting, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to broader HR initiatives , including onboarding, employee engagement, and retention programs. You’ll work closely with the Director of Talent Acquisition and partner with leadership across the organization to drive hiring success and strengthen our people operations.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

  • Source and attract qualified physicist and corporate candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, and networking.
  • Conduct initial screenings and coordinate interview processes with hiring managers.
  • Partner with leadership and the Director of Talent Acquisition to understand current and future hiring needs.
  • Maintain a strong candidate pipeline and provide excellent candidate experience.
  • Manage offer processes and assist with pre-employment documentation and onboarding.

Human Resources Support

  • Support new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a smooth transition into the company.
  • Assist in employee engagement and retention initiatives.
  • Help maintain HR records, data accuracy, and compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate on HR projects such as performance management cycles, learning initiatives, and culture programs.
  • Provide general HR administrative support as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in recruiting, HR, or a related people operations role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS tools.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive and collaborative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
