Tool & Die Machinist
OTTO's opportunity: Our
Tool & Die Machinist is responsible for setting up machinery in the Dies Plus / OTTO Machine Shop in a short run environment.
Specifically, the
Tool & Die Machinist will
: \n - Keep a clean and organized work area
\n - Responsible for inspecting products on an independent basis per OTTO's inspection procedures
\n - Ability to make wear off-sets
\n - Assist operator in training
\n - Guide machine operators to maintain production flow
\n - Basic understanding of speeds and feeds
\n - Basic understanding of the methods and layout in which the parts are set-up and run
\n - Capable of machining from CAD Models (die design)
\n - Complete math aptitude through trigonometry
\n - Capable of generating programs of line using Mastercam or Solutionware CAD CAM (training available)
\n - Capable of using CAD CAM system to generate programs for 3D machining
\n - Basic understanding of tool and die concepts and functions
\n - Be able to create DXF files out of CAD Models
\n - Assist in the design of piece parts for manufacturability
\n - Assist in supervising when machine shop supervisor is absent
\n - Assist with other related duties as required or assigned
\n

What you'll need to bring to the table:
\n - High school diploma or equivalent
\n - Minimum 3 years related job experience
\n - Availability for nonstandard or extended work schedule
\n - Good communication and organizational skills
\n - Reach heights that may require a stepladder
\n - Lift equipment up to 50 lbs. with assistance as necessary
\n - Must be able to work in a quick paced environment
\n - Ability to use various inspection gauges
\n

What OTTO offers for this specific position: The hiring range listed in this posting is what we, in good faith, anticipate relying on when confirming an hourly rate for this position; exceptions may be considered for highly experienced candidates with multiple years of at-level experience.
\n - Target hourly hiring range:$32.00 to $39.00per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
\n - Profit Sharing Bonus - OTTO believes that it's fair to share the profits that the employees help to make; profit sharing is distributed to employees twice a year. OTTO's profit sharing plan is paid at the discretion of the company and is not a guaranteed bonus or any part of a compensation plan.
\n - Vacation:five days after 30 days of employment and 80 hours at 1 year - vacation time is earned on the anniversary date.
