Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Training Coordinator to join our team in the aluminum can manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing training programs that enhance employee performance, ensure safety, and support continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes. This role requires a strong understanding of industry-specific skills and a commitment to fostering a culture of learning and growth.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, implement, and manage training programs for new hires, current employees, and leadership teams focused on industry-specific skills such as machine operations, safety protocols, quality control, and regulatory compliance.
  • Work with department heads to identify training needs and develop customized programs to address skill gaps.
  • Ensure all training materials are up-to-date, relevant, and aligned with industry standards, including the latest regulations for manufacturing practices.
  • Coordinate and conduct safety training sessions to ensure all employees comply with OSHA guidelines, environmental standards, and company-specific safety protocols.
  • Monitor training compliance and maintain records of certifications and completions.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead the onboarding process for new employees, introducing them to company culture, policies, and the safety training required for their role.
  • Provide ongoing development opportunities for employees to enhance their skills, including cross-training initiatives.
  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs through surveys, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Compile and present training reports, identifying trends, areas for improvement, and areas of success to senior management.
  • Maintain a database of all training records and employee certifications.
  • Work closely with the HR team to align training goals with organizational objectives and strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, department managers, and external vendors to deliver specialized training content.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to employees and supervisors to improve job performance and ensure the continuous application of learned skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Relevant certifications in training, safety, or manufacturing are a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in a training or development role, ideally within the manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and machinery used in aluminum can production.
  • Experience in designing and delivering training programs in both classroom and hands-on environments.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse groups.
  • Ability to analyze training effectiveness and adapt programs based on feedback and business needs.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and learning management systems (LMS).

Working Conditions:

This position involves working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to various physical hazards, including high noise levels, chemicals, and moving machinery. Employees are required to wear PPE, such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and protective clothing, in accordance with safety guidelines.
