North Central's Behavioral Health Services is located in Wausau, WI.
The youth inpatient hospital offers short-term crisis stabilization (average 5 7 days) in a secure, co-ed facility with a capacity of 8 beds for adolescents ages 13 - 17 each with a private room.
The facility is staffed by a multidisciplinary team psychiatrists, nurses, behavioral health techs, therapists, social workers and offers evidence-based therapies such as group sessions in CBT, DBT, and acceptance & commitment therapy, supplemented with individual counseling, family meetings, and wellness activities.
